Turley strengthens Heritage, Townscape and Landscape team with new senior appointment

We have appointed Charlotte Mimms as Director in our Heritage, Townscape and Landscape team, to focus on the growth of our landscape planning expertise.

Charlotte joins from fabrik, where she was Technical Director of Landscape Planning. With over 16 years’ experience in this area, working predominantly in the residential sector, she recently advised on a settlement extension in Hertfordshire, large scale grey belt scheme in Surrey and site promotions across the southwest. Charlotte brings a wealth of expertise, including landscape appraisals and impact assessments, grey belt appraisals and landscape expert witness for planning appeals. Based in our London office, her remit will extend across projects throughout the UK.

Charlotte’s appointment strengthens our growing landscape planning service, alongside complementing the continued growth of our wider heritage and townscape team, landscape design capability and expert witness services.

Speaking about the appointment, Director, and Head of Landscape & VIA, Joanna Ede said:

“Charlotte joins us at a time when we’re seeing a sustained increase in market demand for landscape planning and a landscape-led approach to development, including a growing focus on grey belt opportunities. We’re thrilled to have Charlotte as part of the team and she will play a crucial role in strengthening our ability to deliver exceptional heritage, townscape and landscape services to our clients.”

Charlotte added:

“Turley has an excellent reputation in the industry and I am delighted to be joining the team at a pivotal time for landscape planning and grey belt appraisals. I look forward to working with colleagues and clients to help shape thriving developments.”

Following recruitment in 2025 of Mandy Renshaw as an Associate Director in Townscape and Landscape, Charlotte’s appointment brings our Heritage, Townscape and Landscape service to a team of 23 professionals.
