Turley supports Bankfoot APAM in planning application submission for Cadogan Street PBSA

Bankfoot APAM has submitted a planning application for a new purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development on Cadogan Street, in the heart of Glasgow city centre.

We are providing expert Heritage, Townscape and Visual Assessment services for the scheme, which will deliver 259 student bedrooms in a mix of studio apartments and cluster flats, and is being led by Bankfoot APAM - acting as Development Manager on behalf of the investor, New Property Ventures. The project forms part of the continued regeneration of Glasgow's city core.

The development has been carefully designed to respond to its urban context and deliver a modern, high quality student living environment, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing, sustainability and placemaking. The site is located just outside the Glasgow Central Conservation Area and adjacent to a Category C listed building.

Key features of the proposed scheme include a rooftop growing garden, a dedicated cooking classroom, communal roof terraces, gym, and generous social and study spaces.

Chris Moore, Managing Director, Bankfoot APAM:

"We're delighted to have reached this important milestone in the delivery of high-quality student accommodation for Glasgow.

"The city continues to see strong and sustained demand for PBSA, and our proposals at Cadogan Street aim to meet that need with a forward-thinking, wellness-led approach. We're proud of the design, the public engagement process, and the emphasis on sustainable living that runs through the entire scheme."

In the lead-up to the planning submission, the project team undertook a series of public engagement forums to gather feedback on the emerging proposals, ensuring that local views were taken into account.
