Assistant Planner / Planner

We are looking for a talented, confident and passionate Assistant Planner or Planner to work on a wide range of exciting and prestigious projects across Northern Ireland.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career within a vibrant and progressive employee-owned consultancy, in a friendly team environment where you will be given the encouragement and tools to grow and progress. You will have the opportunity to work on high profile projects across Northern Ireland, focused on city centre regeneration, urban living and major residential developments, commercial and retail development and significant infrastructure projects amongst a wider and diverse portfolio.

In this role you will:

  • Support the successful delivery of projects by effectively managing your workload, collaborating with colleagues, and proactively identifying and resolving issues. 
  • Take ownership of smaller projects, working closely with senior team members to build your experience and confidence. 
  • Contribute to the production of high-quality client deliverables, including reports, presentations, and research, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on time. 
  • Continuously develop your technical expertise while building your profile and network within the local market. 
  • Receive full support to achieve chartered status with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or the Irish Planning Institute (IPI); if already chartered, benefit from ongoing professional development through our structured CPD programme

About You

We are seeking highly motivated, ambitious and dedicated professionals with the ability to think strategically, independently and to work as part of our team to further develop our business. The ideal candidates will bring energy, ideas, and positivity. You will be a confident team player, who enjoys working collaboratively, and is keen to develop technical skills and experience across a range of sectors for prestigious clients.  You will hold a relevant postgraduate Planning degree.
