Turley strengthens Bristol planning offer with senior team appointments from BNP Paribas Real Estate

We have made a trio of strategic hires from BNP Paribas Real Estate, significantly strengthening our planning presence in the South West and Wales.

Kevin Hunt, Ashley Bailey and Conor Layton have joined as Senior Director, Associate Director and Senior Planner respectively. Each will be based in our Bristol office.

The appointments represent an important investment to support the growth aspirations of our well established Bristol team. The trio bring a portfolio of high-profile urban regeneration, housing, education, sport/leisure and renewable projects and strong relationships across the region, complementing our existing client base and expertise.

Kevin Hunt, previously Head of BNP Paribas’ Bristol office and formerly with JLL for 19 years, said:

“Turley’s purpose-driven approach, employee ownership model and commitment to quality consultancy made this an easy choice. We’re excited to build on the team’s success in the region and to hit the ground running for clients, advising on major regeneration and mixed-use projects.”

Kevin has led flagship projects such as the University of Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus and brings two decades of experience delivering planning advice to developers, landowners and public sector clients.

Ashley Bailey, who joins as Associate Director, specialises in complex urban regeneration schemes. He has led planning strategies for major projects at Frome Gateway and the redevelopment of Strode College as well as solar installations across the UK.

Conor Layton brings recent experience as lead planner on the redevelopment of Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium, residential-led regeneration of Ham Mill, Stroud and new purpose designed lab-enabled office space as part of the University of Bristol’s Temple Quarter programme.

Stephen Bell, Chief Executive, said:

“We acted proactively and we’re delighted to bring Kevin, Ashley and Conor on board. Their reputation, experience and live pipeline of projects support the continued growth of our South West and Wales team, including the potential to deliver important regeneration schemes in the Bristol market. They are already well embedded in the South West market and aligned with our values, client base and strategic direction.”
